Cushty's Last Lap

Today was the memorial for Michael Tallentire otherwise known as "Cushty". I had the privilege of working with him and the Rollcentre team at Le Mans and the Britcar 24hr races in 2006 and 2007. He was the perfect gentleman, always willing to share his knowledge with the less experienced team members and an oasis of calm in what could be a hectic pit garage.

It was good to catch up with old friends and share memories of the experiences we shared together. Nothing can describe the closeness comes from going through such intense experiences. The afternoon finished with a final lap for Cushty before his family scattered his ashes at Copse Corner at Silverstone. My thoughts go out to Emma, Alex and Freddie as they enter a new chapter of their lives and of course to the rest of the team too. RIP Cushty.
