Poorly baby girl :-(
Eva woke up crying and sitting up in her cot at around 3am this morning. Her temperature was in the 38's. I changed her nappy, gave her some calpol, brought her into our bed for some milk and to let the calpol work it's magic, and her temperature had already gone down by the time I put her back to bed. I went in to wake her at 7.45 this morning to see how she was for nursery, she seemed totally fine and her temperature was normal, so I took her in.
Nursery rang me mid morning to ask if they could give Eva calpol, as her temperature was showing a low fever. By midday they were ringing again asking me to go and get her as her temperature wasn't coming down. I arrived to find her sitting in her vest (as it was sleep time and they'd tried to cool her down) and playing and looking up at me smiling. She seemed totally fine. I did question that she needed to come home, but it's their policy, so off we went. She's not allowed back until she's had 24 hours without a temperature. I really did think it was down to her teeth today.
She went straight down for her sleep when we got back, she didn't even want any milk. I had to nip out to see a customer, so my mom came round and babysat. Eva had been up about half an hour by the time I got back and was sat playing with her toys quite happily. She was very clingy for me and did feel warm this afternoon, but it was around tea time that she started to seem quite poorly, just like yesterday. She didn't want much tea (although she did eat a whole yoghurt) then Mike took her up for a bath. By milk time, her temperature was 38.1, but as I put her to bed, it had gone up to 39.5, despite calpol, so I've ended up coming downstairs and worrying that she's asleep in bed with such a high temperature. I didn't put the blanket over her, just lay her down with her num nums and snuggle bears and she went straight off to sleep by 7.30pm. I bloody hate it when she's poorly. Will see how she is in the morning and take her to the doctors if she's no better, just for peace of mind. Xxxx
