Mephitic

Weather has been really sunny today but not really warm. I did hang some washing out though - first time this year.

Took Tino for a walk this afternoon - our usual route. Seemed to be a lot of activity in the allotments today - I could hear voices behind the doors and hedgerows. We even came across an allotment holder walking along the path. Tino freaked out as he's never seen anyone while he has been out before. He went a bit crazy and I was worried he would manage to wriggle himself out of the harness but it held firm. As the chap got nearer I picked Tino up. Normally he hates being picked up and squirms to be down but this time he was happy to be cuddled - obviously felt safe in my arms. The chap stopped to admire Tino and ask what breed he was. And then he went on his way. He disappeared into his allotment and Tino was happy to carry on with his walk. Until a barking dog in one of the other allotments frightened Tino a bit and we decided to call it a day and head for home. So a more eventful walk than usual but I think Tino still enjoyed it.

Went to Slimming Club this evening. Put on ½ pound. Not much but still would have preferred to lose something.

Today's Forum Challenge word is Mephitic which means foul smelling, noxious. The only really foul smelling thing around here is the cats litter boxes. Need a peg on your nose when you go near them. So I have blipped the Litter Locker. It uses a big plastic bag inside the container where you tip the smelly cat litter. The unit keeps all the smells inside and its easy to empty when the bag is full. I used to use nappy bags and then have to go outdoors in all sorts of weather to pop them straight into the dustbin so the litter locker is an easier option.
