Bois de Boulogne

E and I woke to a beautiful day in Paris. After a delicious breakfast of pastries at Le Pain Quotidien we decided to visit Bois de Boulogne, a huge park on the outskirts of Paris.

We took a leisurely stroll around the lake before hoping on to a boat to take us across to a small island in the centre of the lake where we enjoyed a beer at Chalet des Îles.

We then walked to Le Grande Cascade (a picturesque waterfall) and sat for a while to soak up the sun. We finished our afternoon at Les Jardins de Bagatelle (a beautiful botanic garden complete with peacocks).

After heading back in to the city we enjoyed a dinner of pizza and prosecco at Grazie.
