Exploding Bulrush

I took a brisk walk around Needham Lake after work in the sunshine but extremely chilly wind. There were several photo opportunities but I liked this one of the exploding Bulrush, I wonder just how many seed heads there are in one of these and if some of them end up as a cosy lining in birds nests.
I saw a Yellow Wagtail but he was too far away and I was disappointed that the capture I got of him wasn't clear, but I will try again another day. A swan was finishing the remains of a fisherman's container of maggots and corn (nice), and there are several grasses just waiting to be photographed, so several blips still to come.
