One year on
Here's Jack on the front doorstep, ready to greet me after my morning walk. If you look at my blip from this day last year, you'll see him again. So much can change in a year, people come and go, in and out of our lives. And yet the Spring still arrives, the birds still sing. Our lives go on, enriched by the memories of people we have loved.
Today was another lovely sunny day and we met lots of other cyclists on our way into town. It was Sarah's last day at Women's Group and Gill had arranged a surprise party, with games and Sarah's favourite cake, made by Esraa (lemon drizzle, if you need to know). We started by preparing for a creative writing exercise - everyone had brought an object which reminded them of 'home' and said a few words about the object prior to writing a short piece. I was pleased to see Irene there, a friend I'd not seen for many months. We caught up on conversation during the second half of the meeting, which was a walk along the Nith in the Spring sunshine before heading back to enjoy the food..
Back into town tonight for a meeting of the SOC.
