Doha Days

Sun down ...

I left work early today to drive some 30 miles south of Doha into the desert. The road stopped and the dunes took over. We were met by a local driver with knowledge of how to get us over the remaining 8 miles to rendezvous with a residential camp on the shell littered Gulf coast where a large contingent of our students were spending the night. It was an amazing location and a great place to chill out, out of the searing heat of the city which today nudged 37 degrees. The forecast is for cooler weather for the weekend which, of course, begins tomorrow for us all in the MENA region!
