Word on the Water

If you're ever at Paddington Station in London with time to spare do check out this unusual book shop which takes the form of a canal boat in Paddington basin just outside the station to the north.
It's a Dutch barge from the 1920s, now home to Paddy Screech and his two cats plus a changing collection of second-hand books for sale.
The book barge has been on the move up and down the canal system for a couple of years but this has now become its regular mooring. It's worth a visit for its endearing eccentricity and maybe to pick up some reading matter for the train.
