...........busy during the night............

Terrible night last night.

Went off to bed at 10.00.......as soon as my head hit the pillow the thumping headache came back............something to do with changing blood pressure going from vertical to horizontal.

Managed to get off to sleep at around 1.30.........woke again just before 4.00 with the headache still going....and my left eye glued shut!....my bruise is migrating southwards around my eye....managed to bathe the eye and get back to sleep around 6.00....the alarm went off at 6.30.

Eye gunged up again....headache still going....stood up....whoa....dizzy spell.....the Boss made me phone work to tell them I wasn't fit to come in....and later phone the doctor......no appointments but a telephone consult confirmed what I already knew....concussion. Not a bad concussion...no bleeding from the ears....or clear fluid leaking out of the nose......no vomiting....but the advice was "a few day's rest".

Eye drops.....to wash the gunge away....back to bed.....up again at 10.00....managed to grab this terrible shot of a damp spider web around 11.00....spent most of the day dabbing at my gunky eye....dripping in more eye drops...and drinking lots of fluids.

The Boss took me out for dinner at the local tonight....neither of us could be bothered to microwave anything.....the kitchen is coming along...it'll be good to have it back!

I'm going back to work tomorrow though...too much to do......one day off is the same as a few days rest isn't it?
