Pioneer Square Area

Pioneer Square used to be a happening place. It's so interesting with its brick and stone buildings and architectural character and this plaza. Unfortunately, because of the homeless in residence and the up and coming south Lake Union area, the square is mostly deserted these days at night time.

The figure you see in the foreground is a memorial to fallen fire fighters.
