Aston Cantlow church
This view shows the church in our neighbouring village of Aston Cantlow. I have always liked this view across the fields but it is very difficult to find anywhere to park let alone take the photo from.
I parked in a gateway and walked back along a field to get this shot. The remaining mist in the air makes the tower stand out from the background.
This church hit the national headlines in the 1990s when the parochial church council enforced a covenant on a nearby property requiring the owners to pay for repairs to the roof. The case went on for 20 years and the householders eventually lost the case and had to sell their house. As a result insurers are now offering householders cover against this eventuality. We were advised by our solicitor to take it out when we bought our property in Church Street Keswick.
