Place de la Sorbonne ...

...in the heart of Paris's Left Bank. I took the shot from the steps of the Ecole des Chartes, where our friend Liz D picked up copies of a book including the paper she had contributed to a conference here. She's a medievalist, and our main visit was to the Cluny Museum which is Paris's main repository of medieval art. The marvelous Lady of the Unicorn tapestries have been fully renovated and are newly displayed (although we found the space less congenial than the previous one).
