A Now Working Wheel

As Holly leaves tomorrow to live in London for 6 months she will be away for her birthday. To make sure she got at least some b-day fun we celebrated it today. I gave her a camera as the one she had is an excellent tough/waterproof one but doesn't have great detail. No doubt she'll be using this camera to give us some great blips and capture her travels.

I then baked her a cake, carrot, her favourite, and we cycled down to South Wharf. Here we had some lunch and a cider in the sun by the water. We then rode over to the Docklands where we played some glow in the dark mini golf and shopped around. I also took this photo, which I have used a filter on...the day didn't actually look quite that apocalyptic.

In the evening we went out for dinner, then came home had a few drinks, some cake (sung happy birthday of course) and watched a movie.

She leaves tomorrow and I couldn't be prouder of her. There's a big difference between those who talk and those who do, and Holly has proven herself to be a doer. I'm going to miss her like crazy and am already feeling a bit morose but I know she will come back a stronger, worldlier person with many stories to tell. May we all wish her well on her travels.
