The Eagle has Landed

It seemed an inauspicious start to the day after a night of insomnia. There didn't seem to be any reason for this, but it left me padding about the castle until 4am.
Then it was a frustrating morning trying to negotiate the traffic chaos in Edinburgh City centre with heavy shopping, but later things improved and finally we managed to venture out of town to get our new plum tree, which his Lordship planted this afternoon.

We made it to the airport in time to pick up David77 who has flown in from Cairo for a week of touching base. It was great to catch up on his news.

Turned out a good day after all.
