Day 3....No One Around
This morning we got a call to wake us up at 5.30 to catch the sunrise. Because of the time difference the sun was actually not going to show itself until 7.30….still feeling a bit worse for wear we had a cuppa and went back to bed…where we stayed most of the day. I have to say it was a most wonderful treat……and very very yummy.
I did spy the sunrise out of our window…..(with one eye open) and I kicked myself that I was not up there on deck as it was most magnificent…light limning the clouds and rays from heaven …all peachy and perfect.
Later up on deck just before sunset…….I go to the top and back of the boat…it seems to be the best place for the view and to take photos…I have to say that I wonder at the lack of people up there at sunrise and sunset..isnt that the best time of day for the greatest show on Earth?
I love the way here ..that the plunge pool and spas are sunken and the graceful roof gives shade from the sun…I thought rather lovely and interesting.
Actually I’m not complaining I like having the place to myself.
Dad is enjoying himself and just before dinner he was found at the bar sipping a Singapore Sling…I reckon he fancies himself as Kipling sitting at the Raffles. He is finding himself around the boat on his trolly and can get to almost anywhere now. He enjoys it when we are all sitting around the table at dinner.
Apparently we are in for some rocky weather..glad I brought my sea sick pills with me……..it seems that we have some crazy weather coming at us from all angles in the next couple of days……I would be most disappointed if we couldn’t get into the sounds or go on our little trip to see the penguins and seals.
