B.A.C.K. to Basics

The kids had a "grand sleep-over" with Mom and Dad, and today, they ventured to Bangor to do some shopping. BJ was given the Game of Thrones series to watch - and in true BJ fashion, he's turning it into a movie marathon weekend :). That leaves just me and the dog... chillin'.

I chose to do some quick shopping of my own this morning, ran to Waterville to stop at Mardens for some dog toys to keep at work, and to TJ Maxx for another dog bed. Hannaford for some human edibles and then it was home for the afternoon.

I am always having to open and close the dog treat bag whenever I am working with Mace on training... not a huge deal, but irritating when he's behaving and we're on a roll. So, I thought about crafting up a new dog treat container. I am some what of a hoarder when it comes to jars. Anything that has a nice shape and size, it's washed and put away for another purpose. Today, the Hot Fudge container has become the new dog treat jar. A quick coat of chalkboard paint, a ribbon and some treats and voila!

Pup update: He's had his first vet check-up (yesterday), he did extremely well - except for the shot part. Who enjoys that anyway! We've got him all scheduled for a microchip and neutering along with his regular visits for the next 5 months. In my shopping, I picked up a new handsome collar for him, a pumpkin flavored teething ring and a couple of new toys for work. He's one spoiled puppy!
