("Attention seeking behavior" as Mr. Baxter would say from a favorite DVD called "Oliver's Travels"), a palm sits in solitary against the skyline atop a ridge. Notice how green the rains have made the hillside.

Update: Carnival was shut down this afternoon about 4PM due to rain and high winds, should have run til 10PM. Winds 30-45 mph with higher gusts and driving rain. Sounds like the weather gods have spoken. Expected to moderate by tomorrow afternoon, with sun and 25 mph winds on Monday.
Let's see what tomorrow brings . . . . ...

Actually hope the rain lessens as we are having a few new windows installed. The guys worked really hard today, but saved the weather facing ones for tomorrow. Early start for tomorrow then, good nite all!
