Acacia karroo (Sweet Thorn Tree)
Both my pics for today are dedicated to M&Z, congrats on your 730th Blipday and many more to come!! LuvU'r Journal!! ;-)
C, Rsnr and Rjnr are on their way back here from the OR Tambo Airport with Joe! He landed 20 minutes late from Zambia, but all's well that ends well, they say!! ;-)
We are só looking forward to Joe's visit, can't wait! He is such a great person! R jnr really missed him this first 7 months back in SA!
The fact that we were new in the neighbourhood and R doing Homeschooling did not really help much! Fortunately he made two very nice new friends here now, a brother and sister, and, in fact, the sister is vérrrrry special to him, if you know what I mean!! :-) But Joe is still #1!!
I decided on this pic for today's blip, because I know M (MissU2) loves this tree, and so do I, especially when in bloom!! I have my roots in the real Bushveld (Bosveld), in the Limpopo Province, where this tree is as much part of the environment as the sky or the soil! The smell when they are in full bloom is absolute heaven!
C&R snr bought a big box of cherries as well today, which she wanted me to blip for M because we enjoyed the cherries in Stockholm tremendously when we were there last year in August, but I really wanted to blip this one, so, please view the cherries here!!
