Lady in Waiting

Lillian and I ventured outside the complex this afternoon! Walked about 1km away and back again, snapping a few little birds on the sidewalks and some hadedas, battiling to fly against the wind.

When we reached the gate again, Fanie, our gate guard, said he has something to show me! This dear little mommy dove made her nest in a small tree, directly across the street from our front door, and there she sat, guarding her eggs! According to Fanie she sat here for more than a week already, so I don't suppose we will wait too long for the babies now!! ;-)
