Playtime!

Despite being a grand old lady (12 years old) Katie still loves to play!

Over the years both Katie and our older dog Meg (sadly no longer with us) have developed a routine of playing chase the ball as soon as I finish cutting the grass. As I walk up and down with the mower the dog(s) can be seen through the patio door - often with ball in mouth - waiting for me to finish.

Although I cut the grass a few days ago it was too wet to run around safely on, but it has now dried out a bit. So today is the first day of summer - Katie has been out to play with her ball! She normally fetches it back and drops it - but today she was in a playful mood and wanted to play tug sometimes - managed to catch a few shots from close up.
