Solana beach 5km puppy run

Up at the crack of sparrows on a Sunday morning for the annual Helen Woodward 5km puppy (and pigs!) run/walk - donating to charity to make up for my poor show yesterday.

A sunny yet cool start, a few hills to contend with. Running with babe doesn't make me the quickest so no PB in 23:59 but finished 14 overall and 1st aged 29 year old! Prob 150 runners. Not complaining.

We then met up with a troop of 7 miniature pigs - the adventure of Kevin bacon and friends. So did most of another 5Km walking with them.

Afterwards we had a walk around the vendor show picking up a bunch of freebies for babe and ourselves before heading home to get my bouffon cut by the wife.

We then headed off to our friends dad's place near la Mesa for his st paddys day party. He has an outdoor bar which is cool and ate copious amounts of corned beef and cabbage all washed down with a leg of
Murphy's!

Came home and watched all the soccer I had missed after getting up so early this morning. 4 days of work left then back to blighty - London/Cardiff/Maidstone/Essex/Manchester and Blackburn!
