Queenbird
I didn’t realize I was blipping royalty until I loaded her majesty onto my humble screen. She really didn’t mind being photographed, but I guess that Ma'am is used to the flash of paps.
This is one of eight ladybird species that I have in my folder with no ID yet. I have eleven more with ID’s. I have photographed this species before, but none of the other images had the crown. This is most unusual.
I did a blow-up of the crown so you could see better. If I had seen it at the time, I would have gone in close for a full macro, but these spherical bugs don’t macro very well.
