Waterfall

Another glorious morning in Arthurs Pass, but sadly (especially for the kids) it was time to pack up.

Time however for a walk in town up to the falls (not sure of their name) near the Avalanche Peak track. The kids loved it! Boulder hopping all the bay up the river bed, and then right up to the pool. Brilliant. I then raced up the Avalanche Peak track for 20 mins to get some shots overlooking to the town.

Then a beautiful drive back though the hills to Christchurch. Lots of photo stops for big mountains, rivers, and snow.

But then over Porters Pass and into the coastal clag. A real shame as we were meeting friends in town for a BBQ and kayaking afternoon. Needless to say it was a little cold and wintery. We endured and had fun (I think) anyway!

So the kids were buggered after a huge weekend. What was the most fun part I asked Adam? Breakfast, was the answer. Breakfast? Yes, he loves those little packets of butter and jams you spread on toast. They are his idea of a treat. On further questioning however he did admit that the Temple Basin walk was 1st, Waterfall 2nd, and then breakfast.

He's pretty cheap to please ;-)
