Pieris

With the lengthening days there was (just) enough light on getting home to see the pieris (flame of the forest) in the front garden.

Getting a photograph that I could use was more of a challenge. The flower heads are at the end of very springy stems. With the breeze this evening it was a close race between the fading light and getting a shot that was in focus.

Looking forward to the brilliant red shoots to come.
