A touch of green

I really like these green mums I found at the garden center. I thought of them for brightening up the table for St Patrick's Day. I'll be able to plant them in the garden later in the season once the ground warms up. They will hopefully bloom again in the fall.
We might be just days away from spring but many parts of New Jersey had snow today. It was quite cold and windy too. It didn't stop me from hanging up my spring garden flag and putting a wreath made of forsythia branches out on the front of the house. I am determined to put this winter behind me and let spring roll on.
Time for some tea and a slice of Irish soda bread left over from St Patrick's Day dinner. Happy Monday!
