Polypody -

- is an evergreen species of fern, commonly found in Finland. The stem is supposed to taste like licorice and it has been sold dried in pharmacies in the old days, so it has some medicinal uses, too.

However it is, this specimen looked beautiful with its green leaves defying the snow around it in the woods nearby us.
