March on the Mono - Beech Leaf Buds
Busy morning at the Foodbank.
The beech leaves of the hedge are beginning the fall as the buds are strengthening. It is interesting to watch the small birds as they seem to interact with the leaves, so I don't know if they are actually pulling the leaves off or if there is something they like in the old leaf or the new leaf buds.
The book I'd finished recently:
Beechcombings: The Narratives of Trees Paperback – by Richard Mabey
It was about Beech Trees and their history - really interesting well worth a read.
