Flower in the sun

We went into Inverness as Mike wanted to order some sunglasses and we had some clothes to pick up from M and S.
Afterwards we went to Inverness Botanic Gardens , which used to be called the Floral Hall and Gardens according to the website although it's still called that in some parts of site so not sure when it changed it's name. It's free to get in so it's great to be able to just pop in throughout the changing seasons as there is always something different to look at.
This picture shows one of the walk ways through the Tropical House. It was lovely and warm today as the sun shone through the glass. There were large Amaryllis dotted along the path. You can see the beautiful pink one.
Outside the daffodils were starting to flower and several trees were covered in blossom. Two large bumblebees buzzed happily feeding on the nectar. I wondered if they were Queens waking after their Winter snooze. Large numbers of sparrows were hiding in the hedges and nosily eating from the bird table squabbling among themselves.

We had a very tasty Chicken soup and cheese scone in the café, then it was back home and onto Brownies.
