At Work...
I had the opportunity to take a photo of our handsome son at work today. He is the Director of Technology at Lift. The open concept office space of this technology company is artfully designed - modern, professional and fun. I particularly like the display of clocks, an indication of how technology projects are not limited to the location where the work happens.
This advantage works in reverse, as well. Several years ago our son and his wife traveled to Buenos Aires and Spain for six months and he was able to work from a distance for this company.
It is a growing company and I am so proud of our son's contributions. He is a competent and congenial colleague. He is able to explain the technical work to clients (and his mom) in terms they understand, without being patronizing - truly a gift. He has such a broad scope of ability and skills. This together with his honesty and a very thoughtful, considerate personality make me realize what a fine young man he is.
After a few photos, we had lunch at The Next Act near his office on Whyte Avenue - the unique street in Edmonton I mentioned in a previous blip. Today's feature was the leprechaun burger made with chicken, avocado, bean sprouts and a cream leek sauce. Not only was the food good. I treasure the times we can meet and have good conversations, now as adults.
