Elementary School Graduation

This year I went to my small mountain school's graduation. Only 10 kids were graduating, compared to the 100 that graduated at my other elementary school! Given that, you can understand how the atmosphere was a lot different. The other kids were so sad to see their friends graduate, especially the 5th graders- they were in the same class together all year and had been good friends for the past 5!

But, given that it was only 10 kids, the ceremony was fast. Graduation ceremonies are a big, formal deal here, even from pre-school! Everyone gets certificates and they practice walking, sitting, bowing and speaking for many days beforehand. A lot of hassle!
