Summer 1973: Aberystwyth, Wales

Much of my time currently is spent going through old photos, and when I came across these, I couldn't resist blipping them. I printed the images in the Aberystwyth University darkroom, and took all but the one of me.

The top left photo is for MariaInWales' husband. Through our Blipfoto journals, Maria and I discovered that her husband and I were on the same postgraduate librarianship diploma course in 1973-74 at Aberystwyth University. I'm fascinated by this Blipfoto "small world" connection, similar to finding out that Tookie and I went to the same high school and were in band together!

The others are some of my favorite images from the Aberystwyth Agricultural Show that summer, which I thought Ceridwen might particularly enjoy. Sheep-shearing and horses, and fascinating faces -- how I wish I'd talked with some of the people I photographed!
