Today's the day ........................ to fly the flag

Before you get the wrong idea, I'd like you to know that I feel no affinity with this flag - in fact quite the opposite.

Despite the fact that I've lived in Kendal (and therefore England) for the past twenty-three years, I remain, most definitely - Scottish. Of course, I'm just assuming that Scotland is ok with this claim? It was after all the country of my birth and although I've probably now spent more years out of it than in it - it will always be where my affinity (and affection) lies.

No - the whole point of this picture is to tell you that, one day, I would really, really love to have a flagpole in my garden ..........................
