Art attack

Today it rained (it's the beginning of autumn in South Africa) so we went to the National Gallery. It was a delight - a huge collection of art from every era, including this contemporary South African piece (Zuma Biscuits by Stuart Bird).

After we'd feasted our eyes it was time to feast our other senses - we had lunch in a restaurant called Hemelhuijs which translates as Heavenly House. And it was rather good!

This evening N took us to a jazz club in town - a very civilised experience to round off a cultural day.
