Southwark Cathedral

“I love you when you bow in your mosque, kneel in your temple, pray in your church. For you and I are sons of one religion, and it is the spirit.”
―Khalil Gibran

Just beautiful, it's the oldest cathedral church building in London dating from around 1220.

According to Doomsday Book a place of worship has stood on this site since the time of William the Conqueror.

The churchyard on the south side of the Cathedral is an oasis of calm and is a favourite lunch-time resting place for local office workers. Borough Market is located just behind, so you can grab a bite from one of the stalls and just relax, weather permitting.

Lit a candle, being Thursday and always makes me feel good.
