Carnations

It’s a while since I have done a flower still life so I thought a thoroughly wet and miserable afternoon would provide the perfect opportunity. Initially I had been trying to emulate a sort of lensbaby effect by blending some out of focus layers with a sharply focussed image but eventually decided to go for the maximum fall off that my 50mm f2.5f macro lens would give me.
