Bee In A Crocus

The sun is out today and I was hoping to get a nice flower photo to celebrate the first day of spring.

Slim pickings outside, apart from the snowdrops that I photographed last month, as this winter has dragged on and on and on.....

I have a small patch of crocuses that has finally bloomed on my sun trap of a patio. Looks like the bee was as glad to see them as I was! I love how the wing pattern echoes the pattern of the variegated petals.

In case we start to miss the snow, there is an East Coast Storm brewing for the middle of next week...
