Two Ladies

First, warm thanks for all of you who stopped by my 1500th blip yesterday--so gratifying! We've been travelling today, and I'll try to respond to all the comments in the next day or so.

At midday we took the train from Paris Montparnasse to Rennes to visit our friends Nine and Didier, whom Marylee has known since 1990. On arriving at their modest house I was again (and even more) struck by what a superb decorative sense Nine has. I'll try to find a more comprehensive image or two to demonstrate it during our short visit, but for now I'll just post this pair of wooden figures that Nine found at a flea market and bought for a derisory price (she thought they needed handbags, so she acquired them later).
