The Big Move
Today was hideous. Moving house is one of the most stressful horrible things that I think anyone has to go through.
The removal team turned up late, didn't bring enough boxes or a big enough lorry and broke one of our windows and then refused to accept responsibility. A big 'debate' ensued and all other work stopped as they tried to fix the window. They reluctantly admitted that they did open the window to try and take a sofa bed through it and they must have knocked it although they were trying to argue that the window must have been faulty before we moved in three years ago which was utter nonsense! Hubby had to speak to the manager and as they couldn't fix the window a window company have to come out to look at it - great, another job to sort out.
When we arrived at the new house the removal company refused to put anything in the living room as they felt the floor was still wet (we've had a load of problems with the builders and the floor in our new house) so everything had to go in the garage and we had to contact our builder who had ensured us the floors would be ready at the weekend as he knew we were moving in today. Aaaaargggghhhhhhh!
Anyhoo, just look at that view! Yep that's the view from the living room, our bedroom and Olivia's bedroom - the Butte du Lion! The previous owner lived in this house for four years and never noticed until we pointed it out to her!
