Uh Oh!
We were all tired today - Rachel, Scott and Scarlett arrived after 11pm last night after a horrible journey in the rain. Fortunately Scarlett slept all the way and only woke up briefly when Rach carried her upstairs to bed. She opened her eyes, looked around, and said her latest phrase which is 'Uh Oh', but then very quickly went to sleep. As we only have two bedrooms Rachel said she wanted to stay up for a bit to make sure they didn't disturb Scarlett, so it was about 1am when we finally went to bed.
Then we were all woken up this morning at 5.30am, which is unusual for Scarlett as she's a good sleeper, but she's suffering with her teeth again and woke up crying out in pain. Anyway, we managed to get back to sleep and they were still asleep when Alan & I left for work, well that was until I realised I'd left my phone on the hall table and had left my front door key for them so I couldn't get back in. I needed my phone as they were coming to meet me for lunch but didn't know where they were going. If I didn't get my phone they wouldn't have been able to contact me, so I had not choice but to ring the doorbell and shout through the letterbox to wake them up!
Rachel texted me a photo of Scarlett that she took this morning, which you can see here. Sadly my dad died before she was born, but today when she saw a photo of him she was stood waving at him! I showed her the photo again when I got home and her face lit up in a big smile and she started waving again and touching his face - I wonder if she's seen him before??
Anyway, work's been fine today and we had a lovely lunch at the pub across the road from the office. I took this photo just as Scarlett was saying 'Uh oh' and love the way her mouth is forming the words :-) Then it was back to work for me, and Rachel & Scott took Scarlett for a walk at the beach, but we're home now, Scarlett's just gone to bed and we've ordered an Indian takeaway. I think it'll be an early night for all of us tonight!
Have a nice evening and a great weekend whatever you're up to!
