The County Hotel, in London. An unexciting, tired budget hotel today, just round the corner from Euston station. But huge resonance for me, because as a child of about seven I visited London with my family and this is where we stayed. And where big sis and I managed to get ourselves locked out of the bedroom and had to traipse down to the reception covered in jimjams and embarassment to get let back in again (where were our parents?).
