Mind the Gap

This is the Gap at Hat Head from Hat Head beach. I am not sure why it is called the Gap and after a quick google search I have failed to come up with anything. A little more browsing to be done I think.

I drove up to Hat Head where my brother is staying at the moment. A sleepy little seaside village that seems to be overrun in Summer holidays with fishermen. It has a creek that empties into the sea just at the base of the gap here and at high tide on weekends and in the Summer is teeming with fisher folk.
