Contrasts

Early start to set up and run the start at our clubs Middle Distance Orienteering event at Givendale (part of Dalby Forest). We were blessed with early morning sunshine and were delighted to see a deer bounding across our path as we drove up to the start.

Managed to fit in a run but felt tired after the run yesterday plus helping for 3 hours. The added requirement to lift feet high over forest floor debris took its toll - although pleased to see I was lying second when I finished.

We returned home under darkening skies and a shower of rain.

Today's blip caught my eye with the fresh green moss contrasting with the rich purple of the flower.
