misty morning (don't i feel dirty)

oh dear. i just got told off for the foto not containing any data on the date. i suspected as i used picnik (at andypowe11's suggestion! :-)) that it was wrong in some way and now i feel much more guilty! still, blippin' is premised on the digital isn't it? its not like a hand processed image would contain EXIF data is it? given that, isn't it OK to use a virtual dark room? i use photoshop (elements) quite a lot...

still, i feel a bit naughty for doing it. ah well.

it was a misty morning. cold and damp. wildlife count on the commute was pretty good though - 2 large birds in a tree by the road (either kites - believe me, there are a lot of them around here or buzzards), a rabbit, an owl, a pheasant flying off making that funny noise and of course the ducks still finding it amusing that i ride past them in the dark and the rain not really considering that they sit out in that weather. at least, i assume they do. i can't actually see them. probably they have umbrellas or something.

this is of woodstock road, probably the least pleasant part of my commute - though less for the cars than the other cyclists, who rarely acknowledge that you've slowed down or swung in behind a pedestrian to let them past. They either glare or just look on, not noticing anything or anyone else. ah well.

and to think i could've blipped the queen. she was here today opening the ashmolean. not that i knew about it until long after she'd left, but i did wonder why there were police on horses in town...
