A Little Horse

Early(ish) walk this morning - sun was up - but quite chilly in the wind.

The skylarks were up and the hedges were alive with birds, including a large number of yellowhammers (or budgies as we affectionately know them). Sadly not enough lens power to do them justice - especially as they keep flying ahead and back into the hedge - a twittering, flapping, yellow blur!

Managed to get a few potential blips, including this of a small horse (?pony) with nice side lighting. Wasn't sure if I would get a chance any other time during the day as we planned to be out helping our daughter celebrate her birthday.

Had a nice day out - coffee/brunch, ten pin bowling and a curry to round off the early evening.
