Forsythia in early sun

I managed to grab a shot this morning just before 7 o'clock as I was making breakfast. The sun was shining across the back garden and lighting up the forsythia.

When I went out I could see that if I pointed the camera upwards I could contrast the vivid yellow with the bright blue of the sky.

Pity there wasn't anything red to make a primary colour shot. Hmmm, maybe if the tulips are out in the next few days.....
