Detail of the Doomsday Mosaic in Westerham, Kent which depicts the Manor of Oisterham as described in the Doomsday book of 1086.
Mum and I went to Westerham to visit Quebec House, a National Trust property, formerly the home of General James Wolfe. Unfortunately very little of it was accessible, despite what the handbook suggested, so we'll have to be writing to the NT to express our discontent. But still, it was a nice day for a drive and we did discover this mosaic in the town.
