My grandfather, Mr John Wilson, formerly of the Hub Boot Shop in Aberdeen, Scotland, is the small although prominent white-headed balding man at the head of the stair and the head of the Boot Department. T C Beirne's in Fortitude Valley in Brisbane, Queensland was a particularly famous and significant emporium.
