Asian short clawed otter

At the wildlife reserve at Washington near Sunderland. It's mainly a bird reserve but they have two of these small, delicate otters that are on the endangered list. Their home range is in Asia.

Their claws are very short as they don't catch fish which would slip away, but tend to grub around in the shallows for frogs etc. They made short work of their lunch however. Being able to hold their food in their 'fingers' is a bonus.
