Manchester Ship Canal

Continuing my 'water' theme this week and in contrast to yesterday's natural wonder, here is a landscape created by man - the Manchester Ship Canal.

This is a shot of the Mode Wheel Locks, which is the last set of locks on the canal before it enters Salford Quays.

In the background is Trafford Park, the world's first planned industrial estate and still the largest in Europe.
