Wreath

I hung this forsythia wreath on the house next to my front door. I am ignoring the fact that it is only 37 degrees out and that we are expecting snow showers today. I love forsythia and its bright yellow flowers. I read today that the plant is named after William Forsyth (1737–1804) a Scottish botanist.
I have a ten-foot section of this beautiful plant on the side of my house that is like a wall of forsythia and I love that I can see it from my kitchen window when it is all in bloom. I take cuttings from it, and fill vases in the house and force blooms when the flowers are just buds.
In other news, today I woke up and realized my bangs must have grown overnight because they are now falling in my eyes and driving me nuts. It is so strange how that happens. Just two days ago, I thought my hair was looking perfect and now…not so much.
